Ten Wildebeests in a Teacup

So with the (sex undetermined) munchkin on the way, I'm now working two
jobs. The plan is for Darcy to return to her retail job after a
reasonable maternity leave, and for me to drop the second job at that

I'm on a new schedule now (I really need to consider updating this more
often) Monday thru Wednesday 12 hour days, so that leaves me four days to
care for the baby. If Darcy can get at least one of her days off on
Monday-Wednesday, that only leaves two days for daycare, and even those
could be creatively scheduled to be short days at the daycare.

Meantime the extra job will be going to savings, but also to get a new
compy, probably a Mac mini. The ol' iMac is getting pretty far down there
on compatibility and the PC of the house is showing signs of age. Darcy
is just looking for word processing and internet (and even the internet
mostly for email) so the iMac should work pretty well for her. I'm not
really using the comp to produce anything so I don't really need a ton of
device ports or serious power. I'm thinking a Mac mini with the faster G4
chip, 512Mb memory and 80gig HD, ordinary wired keyboard, and a
third-party monitor.
