(no subject)

I spent last night at my parents house, and they really surprised me. I got the sense they were expecting this, perhaps even more than I was.

Last night when I got there I expected from my mother some manner of "I'm not sure exactly what's going on, but just remember we love you." You know, general support. Instead, one of the first things she said after asking me if I was OK was "You know you don't have to give in to emotional blackmail... Do you know what I mean by this?" She was talking about how, when a year from this past November I told Darcy I needed to consider where our relationship stood, she blew up hysterically, left the apartment, contemplated suicide and started to get therapy. And all I did that time was say I needed to think things over...

So far this time, the emotional blackmail has been far more level-headed...

It's good to have friends. Its good to visit friends. Its good to have friends come to visit.

Many good things, my heart pounds in memory, anticipation, and hopefulness...

Note to my IRC Pals...

We are having a "Questionable Software Crackdown" so I am preemptively pulling the LJ client and mIRC and Yahoo Msgr off this PC now.

It doesn't mean I don't love you.

When the new computer is installed in shipping, I will chime right back in, though, as it isn't considered "critical" like this one is...

So until then: AAAAAAASSSSSSSSS!!!!!

And I will continue to pop in late evenings...

Occupied...

For this weekend, its all about keeping JohnBoze occupied...

Tonight, the Minnesota Twins take on the Baltimore Orioles. My dad is taking me to the game. He has a part of a set of season tickets: Section 125, Row 17, Seats 5 & 6. For those who don't know the Dome, its directly behind home plate, back about 10 rows or so. I got all psyched about it this morning: baseball, a bratwurst, beer... Ilona said it was very male of me... Heehee, its fun bein' a boi sometimes...

Saturday noonish BrianLee is meeting Ilona & I downtown Saint Paul for chatting (& perhaps food? We aren't sure...).

Saturday night, my cow orker Troy is bringing me along to his pal's house to watch Straight to Hell on DVD. We've invited Ilona and Mr. Fabby to tag along if they have the time...

Sunday, no plans yet, but if I can find more of my prepaid phone cards (and likely even if I can't) I will likely attempt telephonic discourse with as many people as I can remember the numbers of, and reach when I call them, in an attempt to keep myself grounded during this first weekend of my new life...
