Yesterday was our fifth wedding anniversary. I know, I should have said something yesterday, but I haven't been in the proper mood to post, nor have I had time, until today. Today I have the time, and feel guilty for being so non-communicative. Perhaps its been some sort of antisocial sour grapes toward those of my friends who budgeted well enough to afford Vegas, I don't know. Darcy and I went out to a place called Zelo for our anniversary. We had a gift certificate for $75 that was hanging around since last year, so we decided to put it to good use. The place was really nice. We had a Kendall Jackson Johannesburg Riesling. We had a grilled portabella mushroom with spinach which was first rate, and a fantastic mixed greens salad. The entrees were good too.

Sometime in the middle of the meal, Darcy leaned over and said, "Promise me, from now on we don't go to a place this nice for our anniversary. You see, we were having a nice time, but the place just made us uncomfortable. The elegance was just a bit too elegant. And while the food was delicious, it wasn't so delicious to really warrant the priciness, just for the elegance I guess.

So that KQRS package came today. True to their previous intimation, they sent a DVD set to me. ID4 5-Star edition. And I got two pairs of tickets to see the Saint Paul Saints baseball team.
