Darcy and I got up, took down the tent, and loaded the car before the thunder became audible. We didn't want to deal with a wet tent, and also, with it as hot and humid as it was, we were afraid the storm would be too strong. At the truckstop we got gas at, they said there was hail to the west, but that cell must have passed to the north, because all we saw was rain.
Due to our (very) early start, we made it into Denver about 6PM. We were very exhausted. Still, we went to dinner at an Italian restaurant with Darcy's father and sister. Then we collapsed into bed.
Today we may go to the Renaissance Festival. I'll probably touch base with Mateo at some point later this morning. It sounds like we have a fun week in store for us.
